Press record, stop, and hand the take over.
4 steps, once. It reads your own website for your type and your colours, builds the motion set from it, installs the set in Descript as named layouts, and from then on cuts, reorders and dresses every video you record.

The Problem Was Never the Editor
3 years of posting, and the same frustrations with every video editor hired. The quality was inconsistent. The copywriting was inconsistent. The branding was inconsistent, and the fonts were never quite the same twice. There were no sound effects. With each new video I had to explain the whole thing again from the start, and it felt like redoing the work rather than handing it over.
Enough editors were tried to see what was actually wrong. The problem was not the video editor. It was that they had nothing to edit with: no framework, nothing that held the brand, and no set of named pieces to assemble. Taste was in one person's head and everybody else was guessing at it.
So the framework got built instead. It reads the website, because a website is a machine-readable record of a brand: the type, the 2 weights actually used, the accent, the radius, the components already drawn. From that it renders a motion set, and the set installs into Descript as layouts in 6 categories. Talking-head zooms. Text inserts. B-roll frames. Motion frames. CTAs. Brand assets.
Once those exist, editing stops being taste and becomes assembly. A layout is an ingredient and a video is the recipe. That is the whole idea, and it is why this can be handed to somebody rather than described to them.
What changes on the day it is finished: you press record, talk, stop, and hand the take over. It cuts the restarts, the filler and the repeats, reorders where the story is out of order, picks the layout each beat calls for, and places the motion on the word that earns it. If you hire an editor later they fine-tune the last bits and post. They do not have to be senior. They follow the steps.
4 Steps. 3 Happen Once.
Step 1: Give it your website
Your brand becomes a file: the typeface and its 2 weights, the accent and how much of the screen it gets, the neutrals, the radius, and the blocks the site already draws. Nothing is designed here. The site already made each decision a motion set needs, in CSS. A set read this way can't drift from the site it came from.
Step 2: Take the motion set it builds
One HTML sheet you scroll, holding every clip your videos will need, in your colours and your type: text inserts, lower thirds, counters, a number going up, a number going down, quote cards, step rails, your testimonials, your product. That is the whole vocabulary. It is shorter than people expect, and the scaffolding a designer needs while inventing a look is deliberately left out.
Step 3: Install the set as layouts
The set becomes named, reusable layouts in 6 categories: talking-head zooms, text inserts, b-roll frames, motion frames, CTAs, brand assets. A layout is a stamp: you make it once and every future video inherits it. A named ingredient is also something a person can be asked for. That's what makes an editor hireable.
Step 4: Record, then hand it over
The only step that repeats. It cuts the restarts and the filler, reorders where the storytelling is out of order, picks the layout each beat calls for, and places the motion on the word that earns it. Then it measures its own work: how often the frame changes, how much of the runtime hides you, and where it still sits still.
